I maintain an active studio art practice, focused on hand-embroidery on paper, collage, and installation. I’m interested in storytelling and the stories we choose to tell, as well as the ways we try to hide things and what we withhold, the difference between forgetting and purposeful fantasy. I make physical the discrepancy between the facade and what lies behind it, using the domestic—references to architecture, quilting, wallpaper—as a psychological portrait. Once a hole is punched into paper or a mark is stitched, it is impossible to remove the memory of it. The surfaces of the work reflect attempts to embellish and make appealing, to mend and cover, to patch over with something different and beautiful. The final pieces act as remnants of action, as palimpsests, where the act of repair becomes more important than the repairs themselves.

New Work

I have an MFA in Printmaking from Savannah College of Art and Design and a BFA in Printmaking from the University of Notre Dame and am lucky enough to have work in public and private collections across the country.

I love to make things.

Im addition to my fine art practice, I work in both graphic and apparel design, but am currently only taking on particular, specialized commissions. Take a look at my design portfolio and reach out if you’re interested in working together.
